Personal Demographics Service (PDS)
What is PDS?
The PDS uses our Health and Social Care Network (HSCN) connection to use NHS digital solutions
Using the National Record Locator Person Centred Software’s Mobile Care Monitoring digital care system can validate and trace a resident’s NHS number.
This enables providers to ensure that their data is accurate and facilitates other integration with NHS services and other software solutions used in care, such as eMAR, to provide a robust service users / patient identifier.
What is needed to access the PDS?
All we need is your NHS ODS (Organisation Data Service) codes to enable the end points set up with NHS Digital that provides the validation service via the PDS.
On the picture the green tick means that Rachel’s NHS number is valid (if it’s a red cross its means its invalid).
This has been achieved by linking Mobile Care Monitoring by Person Centred Software to the NHS Spine Mini Service Provider system.
